...Better late than never right?...
Part two of our trip was visiting Brett's old stomping grounds. We drove from Palmyra up into Toronto, Canada.
Canadian flags, traffic signs in Kilometers per hour, billboards in the grass. It wasn't long until it became obvious we were in a different country, although it really is SO easy to forget Canada is a different country.
We had a blast visiting with some of the people Brett served. They were all so kind and loving. (click on the photos to enlarge)
I love these pictures because they remind me just how much the people we met love Brett and the love he has for them.
And of course the kids just adored him.
Brett took me around to some of the places he lived and the churches he served in. We were lucky enough to make it to Toronto in time to go to church with two of the wards he served lots of time in.
We tried to squeeze in some time to visit downtown. Toronto is a BIG city. Fun to visit, but I doubt I would like living there.
This amazing view was from an apartment where we ate dinner with Joel. Maybe I could live there if we had a view like this. Speaking of food... Yum! That is all I have to say. Everywhere we went. Good, good food!
We headed to the temple before we left town.
But it was closed... so we just took some pictures of ourselves before heading back to the States.
Toronto was SO much fun. It was great to be able to meet some of the people Brett tells me stories about and see where he lived for 2 years. It was a quick trip, be we were glad we could make it up that way!
