I think this last weekend may have been the last pleasantly warm weekend of the year. The temperatures are supposed to drop this week and we will then get to enjoy pleasantly cool weekends for a while. I'm ok with that!
This weekend we went with our friends and old neighbors to the byu football game. Brett mentioned wanting to make it to one last game before we move on from our provo years. Let me just say, we sure picked a good game to go to! The third quarter was kind of slow but the amazing comeback of the fourth made out all worth it! Riley Nelson played on one of Brett's softball leagues this summer/fall so we especially enjoyed cheering for him.
This weekend we also enjoyed two lazy days at home with each other watching conference. I kept myself awake by organizing my craft stuff. That was a good choice because it helped me pay attention and I feel like I had lots of questions answered.
In between sessions on saturday brett took me on a picnic to enjoy the fresh air. It really was beautiful outside!
Saturday night, while brett was at the priesthood session, I invited a couple girls over to do crafts with me. We dominated our crafts and turned out some cute things in a mere two hours. I painted and decorated this flat wooden pumpkin that now sits proudly outside my front door. I'm especially glad it won't turn rotten by the end of the month!
We ended sunday by having brett's brother over for dinner and playing some games. A great end to a great week.
After such a great weekend I was not looking forward to going back to work but I just have to make it thru. My older brother is getting married next week and my whole family will be in town to celebrate. I can't wait! Life never seems to slow down but at least it is filled with fun memories! In the next few months we will attend the wedding, send brett off to hunt for a week, fly to portland for thanksgiving, finish up brett's last semester of classes at byu, pack up out whole home, travel to baker for christmas and then move to texas for brett's student teaching. And I guess we have to work sometime during the next few months too, and serve in our church callings (I'm serving in the primary presidency and brett is the elders quorum president). Busy but great!
(sorry for the grainy pictures, I posted this on my phone and the pictures didn't upload in the best quality)
