My parents arrived the day we were discharged from the hospital and ended up staying with us at our apartment for a week and a half. I was a little hesitant about having house guests (especially considering how small our old apartment was) but it was such a huge help to have them ready and willing whenever I needed them! My parents were awesome and didn't even complain about sleeping on the couch/air mattress. In addition to helping with Brooke they also packed and moved our old apartment, cleaned our new apartment prior to moving in, unpacked boxes and set up all the nursery furniture.
Brett's parents arrived the weekend after mine left and were just in time to help us get settled into our new place and make sure we were prepared to handle the next while on our own. They made a quick trip but will be back for Thanksgiving next month. Brooke enjoyed going with them to watch Brett coach a football game and slept through the whole thing! We greatly appreciated their help deep cleaning the old apartment, getting things set up in our new apartment, cooking some food for the freezer and assisting in a grocery shopping effort that should last for a while.
Like I said before, I can't even imagine what those first few weeks would have been like without all their help. They did countless little things that made life easier. I'm pretty sure we would be starving, sleep deprived and living in the chaos of an unorganized move if it were for Brooke's loving grandparents!

Being a grandparent is amazing also. Brooke is one blessed little girl to have all those loving grandparents.
