We watched Seven Pounds on Friday night ( I know, Brett and I aren't big movie people so we see movies long after they come out on redbox). It was a good movie, made me laugh and made me cry. It also reminded me how hard losing someone you love would be. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering from that kind of loss. Between my tears I made Brett promise me to never leave me. And although he couldn't technically promise that, he reminded me that we will be together forever. What a comfort that is!! Speaking of Will Smith, we also watched the last half of Pursuit of Happyness last week. Brett had not seen it before and we both enjoyed it. True, both movies are sad. But I appreciate the ability they have to make me think about life and appreciate what I have. We truly are blessed.

This weekend we also finished one of the books we started while dating. I'm sure many of you have head of The Five Love Languages book. If not, I highly recommend reading it. Being in love and being married are great. They provide comfort and security. But from my short experience (and in talking with others) I know that marriage won't be easy and doesn't always just happen naturally. This book helped Brett and I evaluate ourselves and how we express our love to each other. One of the greatest things about love is that it helps you be more selfless and willing to work towards a successful ending. And there is nothing wrong with getting a little bit of advice from an outside source on how to do that better.

The other book that Brett and I are reading is called Peaks and Valleys. We started while spending numerous hours at the airport on our honeymoon. Although it is a quick and easy read, we haven't finished it yet. You'll have to check back for my report on it. But if you have time, I'd recommend reading it in the meantime.
Well, this week promises to be another good week. We are going on a hike up to Stewart Falls tonight for FHE (Elise, remember when you fell?). Tomorrow is Temple Tuesday, gotta love that. I have another job interview on Thursday. And Saturday is the 4th of July!! Brett was able to get the night off from work and we are lucky to get to go to Stadium of Fire, so we're looking forward to that. And if you are lucky, we'll take pictures and post them! After all, I don't want you to forget what we look like! :)

I have been scarred for life since falling down the waterfall. I now can't go hiking amid slippery rocks without fearing for my mortality. But you aren't stupid and won't climb to where you could slip and fall, right? Good.
