This ones for the girls

Part of what made our special day so special was all of our friends who came to share it with us. As a thank-you for all of the girls that traveled to be there, here is a shout-out to each of them.

Sydney:
My first college roommate, and my last. All six of "the girls of 219" were able to make it for the wedding. I'm so glad we were able to build such a strong friendship my freshman year of college. Sydney was my Maid of Honor and did so much to help make the day a success. She is always there when I need her and was willing to help out with even the littlest details. While talking at the luncheon she gave some tender remarks that made me tear up and shared memories that made me laugh. I truly am grateful to call Sydney my friend!
Brittany:
Another great friend and helpful bridesmaid. Brittany and I have been good friends since high school and I've always been able to count on her for help when I need it, and a good time when I want it. Brittany got married last summer and I was able to participate in her wedding. Since being married Brett and I have found great friendship with her and her husband Rob. Although Rob was unable to make it to Portland for the wedding, Brittany did a great job planning a bachelorette party and being responsible for the beautiful flowers during the day.

Amy:
I was blessed to have my cousin and her parents make the trip down to Portland for the wedding. Amy has lived the closest to me out of all my cousins and I have many fond memories with her and her family. Amy is an awesome girl and graduated from High School this year. I'm excited to see what great things await her in the future.

Cami:
Cami is Brett's cousin. Her and her family live in Utah and I have been lucky to spend time getting to know them. Cami is gorgeous and lots of fun; I can hardly believe that she is only 14. I'm excited to get to know Cami better over the years!

Chelsea:
Another one of the girls of 219. I was so glad Chelsea was able to make it since she was married only 2 weeks prior. We were engaged together and it was fun to help each other plan our weddings together. Chelsea and I used to joke that we would make a good couple. Her and I were almost-instant friends and shared many laughs over the year. Chelsea has been a great friend though out college and I look forward to being newlywed friends together.

Maria (and Steve):
Maria, one of the girls of 219, got married last summer to Steve. They both made the road trip up and it was fun to have them there. Steve did a great job managing with so many girls around. His camera skills also came in handy. Although Maria's hair color is constantly changing, her friendship is not. Maria and Steve are in our ward this summer and we have had fun getting to know them as a couple better.

Natausha:
Affectionately referred to as na-ta-ooo-sha, Tausha has been a great friend and loyal girl of 219. Although she commented on my wedding being a chance for her to "finally visit Portland" I'm glad she was willing to make the long trek northward. She is a loyal friend and I can always count on her when I need her. Tausha can also be credited for encouraging me to give Brett a chance even when I thought he was a "hick boy".
Elise:
This girl of 219 started the marriage-fest off two summers ago. She was the first one to get hitched and has been a great source of knowledge and guidance. Her advice helped me along the dating and engagement stages without going insane. Elise is easy to talk to and always cheers me up when I see her. I'm grateful she was willing to leave her husband behind for a few days to celebrate with me.

Chaela:
Although not one of the original girls of 219, you wouldn't guess that Chaela didn't belong. She has been a great friend always excited and interested in my life. She was nice enough to offer her artistic ability multiple times in the wedding process. She took our beautiful engagement pictures, helped with the announcement construction and help Sydney decorate the sign in book. I'm grateful for her talent and willingness to share.

Cassi:
Cassi is the newest edition to our group of friends. She was one of my house-mates this last year and was supportive in all my stages with Brett. I am grateful she wanted to take the trip to come celebrate with me. Cassi once paid Brett and I the complement of saying we were "just meant to be together" and although she was only a "second string bridesmaid" I am glad she was in my wedding and in my life.

So besides a day full of fun and memories. What happens when many of your closest friends come together for your wedding? Well, this is what happens....

Actually I have to give them credit... the car was decorated cute, a little scandalous, and not too hard to clean up. Good work girls!

Thanks girls. Love you all!

Kirsten, I just love you. Also Brett. Let's be honest, I was so lucky to get you and your unmarried 219 friends (plus one!) as roommates this last year. And you were lucky that we could come up to be part of the wedding? Whatever. WE were so lucky that you invited us up to see lovely Portland and enticed us with those fabulous cardigans. You really are the best.

Kirsten this was just great. I unfortunately have not caught onto the whole blogging craze, perhaps one day when I get hitched it will happen. But I appreciate everyone who blogs so I can keep updated on lives. And this one was very sweet of you, your wedding was so much fun to go to, I felt like I was such a part of it and had a blast. I'm excited for when I'm back in Provo and can hang out with you and Brett. Love you!
