Thanksgiving 2012

I was up last night nursing Brooke and reflecting on Thanksgiving this year.  I was thinking about all the things I am thankful for this year and realized how truly blessed we have been this last year.  Its crazy to think about where we were just a year ago and where we are now.

Then vs Now....

Then, preparing for a move across the county to an unknown state and an unknown future.  Now, loving where we live and embracing all Texas has to offer.

Then, leaving both our jobs with hope that everything will somehow work out financially.  Now, Brett working at a great school and being able to provide for our family without worry.

Then, struggling with the fact that we weren't pregnant after almost 2 years of trying. Now, so blessed to have Brooke in our home and part of our family!

If you would have asked me last year to predict where we would be this year I doubt I would have even come close. Life took us for a ride and we are enjoying the journey.  I know I really do feel blessed with how everything has turned out so far.  Better than I could have imagined!

The biggest downside about our current situation is how far away we are from family.  We are hoping to remedy that problem sooner rather than later but were blessed to have some family come visit us this year instead.  It was our first time "hosting" a holiday but truth be told, Brett's parents did all the hard work anyway.  I am still busy with Brooke almost 24/7 and was grateful not to have to worry about any of the prep work.  Thanks guys!

Our company included Brett's parents and his brother Tyler.  It was great to have company, especially after a few months of just Brooke and I at home all day while Brett was busy with football.  It was also awesome to have extra helping hands.  I'm never very good at asking for help but am always grateful for family who just step right in and help anyway!

We have so much to be grateful for!
