Birthday Girl!

We celebrated Brooke's birthday on Saturday and we had a blast focusing on her and celebrating by doing things she likes.  We opted to not have a party due to hectic schedules but I'm more than okay with that.  We ate cake, opened presents, took pictures, went shopping for a new pet fish, went out to dinner (ordered Brooke her first meal off the kids menu!), played outside for a bit, installed her new big girl car seat, took more pictures, gave lots of kisses and laughed lots.  All in all it was a great day!

Big Girl car seat! It is so big but it will allow to stay rear-facing for quite some time.  It makes her look so grown up and so small all at the same time. 

 

 

Brooke got a pet fish for her birthday.  We named it Fufu the fish. She LOVED the pet store and LOVES her new pet fish.  We have to stop what we are doing multiple times a day so she can point and smile at the fish.

 I'm 1!

We skyped with Grandma Smith while opening some presents and eating the cake. Brooke gets so excited to see people on the computer.

Mostly Brooke picked small pieces off the cupcake and ate it very lady-like. We wanted some more action so we broke off a few larger pieces and gave them to her.  That got a little messy, but still not too bad.
