It's a rock, it's a tree... no, it's an Moose!

I'm been slacking on blogging this summer.  Truth is, we have been too busy off having fun.  One of my favorite parts of being married to my best friend is that I always have someone to go do things with and have crazy adventures with.  It seriously is awesome.  Consequently though, I'm way behind in my blogging/documentation of said adventures.  I'm not going to even try to write about everything we did, but I do want to at least get the activities in which we took pictures up (I know half of you only look at the pictures anyway).  It will be a process, but hopefully with Brett now back in school I'll have some extra time while he slaves away at his homework.

Okay, enough pointless words.  Lets get on to the fun stuff.

One Sunday afternoon we decided to take a drive up into the Provo canyon part of the Alpine Loop.  We had been up past Sundance a couple of times for hikes, but this time we decided to keep going and see where the road would take us.  Usually, it's hard to justify driving around and wasting gas, but we needed to charge the battery in the Jimmy.  It was a great drive and well worth the money spent in gas.

I could have spent the whole day up there looking at the scenery and enjoying exploring new areas.  Brett was a little hesitant at first, but was sold on the idea once we spotted this Moose.  It was HUGE and so close and didn't seem phased at all by our presence.

We didn't think to bring a camera, so the only picture we took was this one of the Moose on our phone.  But believe me, the rest of the scenery was just as cool.  Hundreds of tall aspen trees, views of the snow-capped back side of mount timp, valleys of trees and being surround by nothing but nature.... all with no sign of civilization for miles.
