Brooke helped color the wrapping paper for her daddy's presents. It took two different days... our attention span isn't that long ;-)
Our fishie cake! I was looking for frosting at the grocery store and Brooke pulled the blue one off the shelf. Hesitant about having bright blue frosting, I held up two choices (the one I wanted, and the blue one). She picked the blue one again....
The lane next to us was a group learning to shoot a semi-automatic machine gun (I think). It sounded intense! And, as you can sort of see in the picture below, they need more practice because they mis-fired and started a little fire at the end of the range. We had to "CEASE FIRE!" while they put it out and then soaked all of the rubber stuff.
I was proud to have actually hit the target a few times (although most of those are Brett's bullet holes)!
After the gun range we headed back home to open presents and eat some pre-dinner cake.
Brett got a phone call from family while opening a few of the gifts. Brooke was rather impatient and decided to tear them open for him.
Dancing outside Texas Roadhouse before dinner.
Brett was less than thrilled that I (they) made him sit on the saddle. I couldn't stop laughing and Brooke loved it! I have a video, but for the sake of our marriage I won't post it ;-).
Speaking of videos... Here is a good one! Brooke started saying "happy happy happy" a few days before Brett's birthday. I posted a different one on facebook but here is one of our attempts at getting her to say happy birthday dada!
