Valentine Love

A few highlights from our Valentines celebration this year.

  • Brooke wore pink/red every day this week (which wasn't too hard considering she is a girl)
  • Our weekly playgroup involved decorating a heart with stickers.  Brooke can't get enough sticker time, so she loved it.
  • Brooke's favorite time of the day (mail time) involved her getting a card from her great-grandparents.  She tends to think everything in the mail is for her, and this time she was right.
  • I thought about doing a cutsie photo shoot like last year but after a few attempts with the cards and one attempt with her 1st stuff animal  (a valentines dog from while I was still pregnant) I gave up hope of her ever sitting still again.
  • Brett surprised us with a poster that he made and hung up in the kitchen and some presents on the table!
  • Brooke spent all day pointing to the sign and cuddling with her teddy.
  • Mommy and Brooke got all ready for a fun lunch date with Daddy.
  • I spent Valentines day evening alone (while Brett was out coaching baseball) cleaning the kitchen and failing to clean the playroom.  And blogging, obviously.
  • After scanning facebook and seeing too many pictures of chocolate, I got a sweet tooth.  Unfortunately the sweetest thing I could come up with in our house was a bowl of frosted mini wheats and Brett's almond milk.  Dang me for never buying treats!
  •  Tomorrow's events include and husband graciously accompanying his wife to Ikea (my favorite, his least) and a romantic dinner sans child.

Photographic evidence that my words above are not lies.....

And because I mentioned it, here are some adorable pictures from last valentines.....

MAN! She is a doll!  Good memories!
